Blue Speckled Ceramic Butter Dish Butter Nest Handmade Pottery

Handmade butter dish. The top cup holds 6 fl oz of butter, which is placed into the bottom dish with 1/4" of water in the bottom. The water seals the butter off from the air so it can stay warm and soft without going bad. The glaze is lead and cadmium free and food safe. this clay is initially very rough where it isn’t glazed, but will burnish quickly with some rubbing and washing. Dishwasher and Microwave friendly. They are approximately 4 3/4" in diameter, and shape will vary some as well. Every one is unique! I make these by hand in my garage studio in the heart of the Missouri Ozarks.
